BSTDB Inaugurates its New Sustainable Headquarters in Thessaloniki
Modern, eco-friendly workplace reflecting sustainability and innovation
The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) inaugurated its new Headquarters at an official ceremony hosted by the Bank’s President, Dr. Serhat Köksal. The inauguration was led by the Alternate Minister of National Economy and Finance of the Hellenic Republic and BSTDB Governor, Nikos Papathanasis.
The ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Bank’s Board members and of the host country’s officials, including the Deputy Minister of Interior, Konstantinos Gioulekas, the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, Stavros Kalafatis, and the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Stelios Aggeloudis.
The event drew a large and distinguished audience, with high attendance from diplomatic representatives, business leaders, and members of the international community, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
Situated by Thessaloniki’s historic old harbour, the new 5,170 m² building meets top environmental standards and has been awarded LEED Gold certification. It offers staff a modern, flexible, and eco-friendly workplace designed for efficiency and collaboration.

The Alternate Minister of National Economy and Finance of the Hellenic Republic and BSTDB Governor, Nikos Papathanasis, said: “The Greek Government remains steadfast in its support for this landmark project, enabling the Bank to thrive, innovate and stand as a beacon of international cooperation. We are proud to witness BSTDB establishing its permanent home- a space purpose-built to foster dedication, teamwork and future achievements.”
