BSTDB Invests in Autonom’s Sustainability-Linked Bond in Romania
Supporting Green Transformation in the Mobility Sector and Capital Market Development
The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) has invested EUR 9 million in a sustainability-linked bond issued by Autonom, the largest Romanian car leasing and rental company. The private placement totals EUR 30 million, with BSTDB participating as an anchor investor.
The proceeds from BSTDB’s investment will support Autonom’s broad sustainability initiatives, including expanding its car fleet to better serve local businesses while reducing emissions. The bond issuance also strengthens Romania’s capital markets by diversifying financing instruments for private sector companies with a strong environmental focus.
