Description and Purpose of the Operation:: Pinar Sut A.S. is a leading dairy product company in Turkey . It is also the flagship company of Yasar Food Division, which has several subsidiaries. Pinar is the first company to introduce UHT long-life packed milk to the Turkish market in 1975.The Yasar Group has been operating in the fields of paint, food, beverage, trade, contracting and tourism in Turkey since 1975. The Group has a multinational orientation with exports. Pinar Sut's growth strategy is thoroughly based on exports. . The investments aspire for increase in capacity of existing products with the opening of the plant in Eskisehir, productivity increase and introduction of innovated products.

Developmental and Regional Cooperation Impact:: The Project is in compliance with the Bank's Country Strategy for Turkey, which supports projects preliminary identified in the manufacturing sector as well as projects aimed at enhancing Turkish exports.
Environmental Classification and Impact:: The main conclusions of the Environmental Analysis are that the company has a strong commitment to good environmental performance, as demonstrated by its actions. Although the company operates within the environmental limits imposed by the Turkish regulations and the World Bank Group, the Company has continued to take measures for continued improvement.
