- The BSTDB financing will contribute to the development of the agricultural and food processing sector of Armenia and have a positive impact in trade with neighbouring countries via exports of malt and beer. Moreover, the operation is expected to establish new job opportunities and result in a transfer of the modern technology and know-how.

- Screened as B0. Environmental Assessment concluded that the Borrower's environmental, health and safety performance is outstanding, and the plant management shows strong commitment in complying with Armenian EH&S requirements and also with the EU subject requirements. The Borrower is required to remain compliant at all times with applicable Armenian EH&S rules and regulations, as well as meet the Bank’s subject requirements; and submit annual EH&S performance reports.
