Borrower/Client:: Zolotaya Semechka LLC is a private company established in 2000 in Rostov-on-Don (South of Russia). Core activities are bottling and packaging of vegetable oil and export of oil and grain. Part of "Yug Rusi" Group, the largest sunflower seeds exporter in Russia.

Developmental and Regional Cooperation Impact:: The BSTDB financing will contribute to the modernization of the production facilities resulting in cost-savings, increased efficiency and improvement of environmental and safety parameters and increased sales of agricultural products, including exports to the Black Sea region (Turkey and Greece).
Environmental Classification and Impact:: Environmental Assessment revealed that some businesses of the Borrower such as agribusiness and food processing, namely crushing plants, vegetable oil refining, grain elevators, etc., have the potential to generate certain Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) impacts, which need to be adequately mitigated/avoided by adhering to generally recognized performance standards, guidelines and/or design criteria. IN this respect the Borrower commissioned an Environmental Audit to an independent environmental consultant, which has been completed in 2006. Based on the audit findings an environmental action plant has been drafted and is implemented by the Borrower.
