Developmental and Regional Cooperation Impact:: The financing provided by the Bank will enable Ucar Agro LLC to finalise the Project in a priority non-oil sector of Azerbaijan. The Project is expected to have employment creation impact (about 800 new jobs expected to be created) and to substitute imports of poultry meat.
Environmental Classification and Impact:: Category B+. The Client has intoduced highly advanced poultry rearing, slaughtering, processing and packing practices, as well as advanced techniques for water pretreatment, waste water treatment, odor capturing and rendering of the biological wastes, and has sourced equipment from leading manufacturers in the industry such as Meyn, Big Dutchman, Yemtar, and Frigo Mekanic.
