Description and Purpose of the Operation:: Local Currency Loan for SME Financing to Center-invest Bank, Russia. Provision of RUB 1 billion Loan the proceeds of which shall be used by the Borrower exclusively for the purpose of providing sub- loans to eligible SME clients in accordance with the criteria as agreed with the Bank.

Developmental and Regional Cooperation Impact:: The loan for SME financing will support the development and expansion of small and medium sized businesses and entrepreneurs in Southern Russia, including the Black Sea Region. This is the first local currency financing provided by the Bank to a financial intermediary in Russia, thus avoiding the foreign exchange risks for Center-invest Bank and ultimate recipient SMEs.
Environmental Classification and Impact:: E&S category FI. Center-invest Bank developed a comprehensive E&S management system which is fully integrated in the general portfolio management, and is compliant with the BSTDB E&S requirements for FIs. For the purpose of this operation the standard E&S legal terms and conditions will apply.
