- The Operation involves participation in the new Eurobond issue of TransOil Group Moldova, for USD 400 million, with BSTDB participation at USD 30 million. The new proceeds from BSTDB participation will be used for general corporate investments.

- Developmental and Regional Cooperation Impact:
- The beneficiary entity’s operations are in line with BSTDB’s priorities, with its involvement in agriculture, food, and regional presence from a relatively small country. Expansion of its operations might lead to certain economic development impacts and further regional integration, both of which are mandates of BSTDB as defined in Medium Term Strategy & Business Plan 2019-2022 (MTSBP). Moldova Country Strategy 2019-2022 also prioritizes financing export- oriented companies involved in agriculture. The strategy states that "BSTDB will focus on supporting existing enterprises especially to facilitate export growth and diversification." The Bank has been requested by the Group to act as an Anchor Investor in the new issues Notes 2021.
