Developmental and Regional Cooperation Impact:: BSTDB participation in the operation would help bring positive social and economic development impact. It will provide the Black Sea market with high quality products at affordable prices for the consumers and will create additional employment in Türkiye. Along with meeting increased domestic demand, the project aims to increase export capacity of the company and thereby country. The project meets regional cooperation criteria, given that Turkish based company, which has operations in Türkiye, distribution bases in Bulgaria and Romania is planning to invest in Türkiye. Additionally, the company plans to export some products to other member countries.
Environmental Classification and Impact:: E&S Category B. Due to the relatively simple manufacturing processes that does not involve complex chemical and physical transformations, and significant material and energy use, the associated E&S risks and impacts that may be generated by the capital expenditure program, are considered limited and can be readily prevented and mitigated. The ESDD was conducted in-house.
